This minor helps learners develop the skills needed to lead in a changing world. It combines people management, economics, international business, civic leadership, innovation, and international business law. Participants learn how organizations operate across borders, how leadership decisions are shaped by economic and legal environments, and how to engage responsibly with diverse teams and societies.
Best suited for learners with interests or backgrounds in: law, political science, psychology, education, business, communication, international relations, humanities, health sciences, engineering, and social sciences.

How You Will Learn

The Global Leadership Minor is designed around flexibility, structure, and learner-centered online education. Courses are delivered fully online and asynchronously, allowing learners to study at a time and place that fits their academic, professional, and personal commitments.

Learning takes place through Blackboard Ultra, a modern digital learning platform that provides clear course organization, accessible content, discussions, activities, assessments, feedback, and opportunities for independent study. Our online learning model is designed to help learners take ownership of their learning while remaining supported, motivated, and connected to meaningful academic and professional outcomes.

Each course follows a structured weekly rhythm. Learners first explore new ideas through guided digital materials and resources, then apply their learning through activities, discussions, problem-solving exercises, and reflection. Understanding is reinforced through quizzes, feedback, and other assessment activities designed to support continuous learning and development.

Throughout the program, learners engage with topics related to leadership, global business, economics, innovation, civic engagement, and international law while developing critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills that can be applied across diverse professional and societal contexts.

Although courses are asynchronous and offer considerable flexibility, meaningful progress requires consistent engagement. Learners should expect to dedicate approximately 10 hours of study per week, combining active learning activities with independent study.
