State Authorization

The American University of Greece (AUG) Global Campus is a nonprofit, accredited institution of higher education, authorized by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education and accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). As a global online provider headquartered in Athens, Greece, we are actively pursuing state authorizations to enroll students residing across the United States.

Below is a list of U.S. states and territories where AUG Global Campus is currently authorized to enroll students in our distance education programs. In these states, AUG Global Campus has either obtained authorization, received an exemption, or confirmed that no formal authorization is required at this time for fully online, non-clinical programs.

AUG Global Campus does not currently enroll students residing in states that are not included on this list. We are committed to expanding our reach and will update this information as additional authorizations or exemptions are secured.

Important Note for Students Considering Relocation:
If you are an enrolled student and you relocate to a U.S. state where AUG Global Campus is not authorized to offer distance education, your ability to continue your studies may be affected. We encourage all students to notify the Registrar’s Office prior to relocating to a different state, so that we can advise you on how relocation may impact your enrollment status.

As AUG Global Campus is considered a foreign institution by the U.S. Department of Education, our programs are not eligible for U.S. federal financial aid, including federal loans and Pell Grants. Students are encouraged to explore alternative financing options and should consider the implications of residency changes carefully.
