Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Melissa Morriss-Olson is an accomplished higher education leader with over 35 years of experience driving innovation and institutional excellence. As the Chief Executive Officer of The American University of Greece Global Campus, she brings a wealth of expertise in strategic and visionary leadership, academic program development, and enrollment management. In addition to her role as CEO, Dr. Morriss-Olson is a Distinguished Professor of Higher Education Leadership at Bay Path University, where she also serves as the Founding Director of the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership and the Center for Higher Education Leadership and Innovative Practice.

Previously, Dr. Morriss-Olson served as Provost at Bay Path, where she spearheaded transformative initiatives, including the creation of over 40 new academic programs and securing more than $6 million in grants. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, she has led institutional efforts to foster more equitable academic environments. Dr. Morriss-Olson is also the founding host of the IngenioUs podcast, which explores leadership and innovation in higher education, and she is the author of several influential books, including the forthcoming Ingenious Leadership: Creating Solutions to Wicked Problems in Higher Education.

She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Loyola University Chicago and has completed executive leadership programs at Harvard University. As CEO of the AUG Global Campus, Dr. Morriss-Olson is committed to expanding the reach of the institution and continuing its mission of empowering students through a dynamic blend of American education and Hellenic heritage.
